Jerry the Cheese Saves Christmas! A Pop-Up Cheese Sale

A last-minute addition to our Christmas line-up, perfect for those of you as last-minute as we are! Our monthly Cheese Club host and resident cheese expert “Jerry the Cheese” will be making a flying visit to the Sally this Thursday evening to rescue those poor disorganised souls who haven’t yet procured their Christmas cheese (priorities people – what were you thinking?!). Jerry will have a hand-picked (he’s stopped picking them with his feet) selection of artisan cheeses on sale for you to take home, or if you’re stopping for a pint, he can make them into a cheeseboard for you, right there and then before your very eyes! A blessed miracle! “When, but when..” we hear you cry “is HE coming?” Well, at 5pm, from outside the Sally, look for a bright light in the sky (the pub sign light – it means the pub’s open). When this light burns bright (as I said, it means the pub’s open), close tightly thine eyes and strain hard thine ears for the distant rumble across the cool night air. Our celestial saviour of savoury snacks, our father of festive fromage will be close at hand. Perhaps astride a donkey. Perhaps inside a sleigh. Most likely, in his old Renault Megane provided the A417 at Brockworth isn’t snarled up again. His holy cheesiness will be with us until the clock strikes 8.30pm when he shall disappear in a puff of smoke (he really needs to get that engine looked at) never to be seen again until the next Cheese Club.
